Founder & MD

Sam is ‘the accelerator’ of the partnership, with a mechanical engineer’s brain that’s constantly inventing new products to solve persistent problems.

He discovered his interest in machinery being brought up on a farm in South East Wales, and after leaving school became a mechanical apprentice with British Steel. After qualification he spent several years in a local foundry, where he created his first invention.

Sam gained a Mechanical Honours Degree, working at various steel forges before setting up Samatrix in 2000. Adam later joined as Technical Director, the pair of them going on to invent several successful devices.

Adam is ‘the brake’, meaning that he puts his years of knowledge to good use sounding out practical and logistical impacts.

Adam’s parents started a pump engineering business back in 1969, just before he was born, so from his early years he recalls ‘helping’ his father strip and rebuild pumps and motors in the family garage. He also witnessed his parents running that business, giving him a fantastic basis for his future career path.

On leaving school, he joined the family business – which by then had become a well-established operation, operating throughout the UK.

After becoming good friends with Sam, he joined Samatrix, where they began working on their own ideas.

As a keen photographer, he has an eye for detail and always looks for new and innovative aspects, which is reflected in his professional life where he relishes taking a raw idea and bringing it to life.

Operations Manager

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Tracey I joined Samatrix in July 2017 I form part of the Office staff as Administration Assistant. My role over the years has developed allowing me to adapt to changes within the company.

My journey in the world of Administration I have covered for many years working for various companies whilst building on all my experiences and extending my knowledge whilst providing excellent customer service with positivity within my role. My position at the front desk whilst entering the office allows me to meet and greet all our customers, couriers, and visitors first hand, a warm welcome along with being helpful is essential to developing the visit experience to Samatrix.

I am working alongside a great team of people which I am privileged to call my work family, we all care for one another along with having a strong working relationship, and excellent work ethic of high standard ensuring that our customers are happy and give 110% whenever possible. Samatrix has been built up since 2001 with various changes over the past 22 years, I have been part of the company for the last 6 years seeing the development bringing Samatrix into a new era with various projects, whilst looking forward to the future and embracing all that is positive.
